Pink Artist Squares

Okay, so I didn't even make it through Rule #1....Life has a way of getting in the way. I spent a week in Atlanta taking care of my daughter who had Flu A and B strains and streph throat. Bless her little heart. She graduated from college this past July and is experiencing life in the real world with her first "big girl" job, as she calls it, and life hasn't been real easy for her. Her apartment costs her about what she makes and it has been hard for her to meet and make friends in the big, cruel city. She is not very happy. Wish I could help her, but somethings in life have to be dealt with on one's own, and that sure is hard for a Mom to deal with.

I have been trying to do a little sewing, but haven't been real successful with that either. I have managed to make a couple of of pink art squares for the
Pink Artist Square project that I will be sending to Monica on Monday. I am real excited about participating in the project.

Went to my doctor Wednesday for a checkup. Everything is okay, but got the dreaded news - need to exercise and lose a little weight. I start Weight Watchers Monday, and since I decided to start WW...I have been starving and can't seem to eat anything that satisfies my appetite. Life after 50 sure is challenging.

Okay .... I have been trying to add an image to this, but can't figure it out @#$%##@! So I am going to close and see if I can find a blogger class somewhere. Maybe my friend, Suzan, of the Thrifty Collage Artist can help me. We'll see.

Lana, I joined WW and decided my best bet was to buy those frozen meals until I got used to knowing what to eat. They weren't that bad,and I still keep a few in the freezer for a quick meal. It really works on the point system if you are honest with yourself and write everything down. I know you can do it!!! A fellow WW!!!

Hi Lana!

I have an open theme charm swap going on in the Charmed_Designs yahoo group.
It is a 16 for 15 swap.
You can make the chams out of anything you want, in any theme you want.
However, because we are an International group, I ask that you do not use organic materials in their raw forms for the charms.
That way, customs does not halt any parcels.
Let me know if an open theme cham would interest you!

Lana,

Poor you! I wish I had some snazzy weight loss advice...but I don't! Okay, I'll try...
Find an excercise you like (You can eat more points) and buy skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. Does that help?
I feel your pain. I hate the weight loss thing.
Oh, I thought of one more, set up a reward system like getting a pedicure if you make your goals for the week.
